Dan McBride, a native of Northeastern Ohio, served with Fox Company of the 502 PIR from 1942 at Fort Bragg, NC., through all the WWII combat campaigns of the 101st Airborne Division. He earned three Purple Heart Medals, being shot through the arm in Normandy, blown up by a mortar round in Holland and hit in the knee with shrapnel outside Bastogne.
